We are very proud of childcare center and strive to provide parents and their children with a clean, quality facility that encourages fun, learning, and growth!
A few of the highlights of our center include:
- 24/7 video monitoring throughout the entire center, including the outdoor play area. This is to ensure maximum child safety at all times and give parents peace of mind knowing that their child is being well-looked after.
- A clean, bright and fun environment for your child to learn and play.
- Healthy and delicious meals prepared fresh everyday by our own nutritionist! We encourage children to start healthy eating habits early on, as well as educate them about food and its importance to their growth! No fried foods whatsoever, just wholesome ingredients that also meet your child’s nutritional needs for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in between! Our kids eat well, and learn about eating well in the process. Some excellent snacks the kids enjoy are 100% whole wheat muffins, fresh fruit and yogurt smoothies, homemade granola bars, and more.
- We are part of the “At-Risk Afterschool Program,” which means that our center offers a delicious meal and snack for all school-aged kids in our area, as well as a daily activity. Ask more about this at the front desk!
- Huge indoor play area! Visible in the virtual tour above, our indoor play area is sure to be a favorite among the kids! Great for giving the kids a place to play during those bad-weather days, and also when the summer heat is too much!
- Beautiful outside play area! Our large playground has plenty of slides that the kids will have a great time playing on. Our soft rubber mulch that covers the entire play-area floor ensures their maximum safety from any accidental falls, and it also is much safer to run and play on in general than wood chips! No splinters or scrapes here. We also have an artificial grass area for the smaller children to play on with small play equipment and a sand activity box. The playground area is shaded almost entirely by two large canopies to provide the kids with that all-important shade in our hot El Paso weather. Basketball court and blacktop area as well.
- FDA approved air purification system for baby room to ensure maximum air quality for all of our infants!
- Special reflective window tint on our west-facing windows (next to our baby room/1 year olds room) to prevent excess heat from direct sunlight during the later day. The tint absorbs a good amount of the heat and helps to keep the room at a cool & comfortable temperature for your little ones!
- 8 Individual classrooms for each age group with activity centers and plenty of toys to help them learn and grow each day. Centers in our preschool rooms include areas for art, reading, manipulative toys, drama/dress-up, science, math, music, and other fun activities.
- A highly qualified, friendly staff! Several of our teachers have degrees in Early Childhood Development and Special Education, and are also certified. We also have a nutritionist in the kitchen! And most importantly, our staff is passionate and we care about each and every child’s growth and development. Your kids are the number one priority and we don’t forget it!
- Secure fingerprint check-in system powered by ProCare™ makes signing in both easy & safe!
- Our main entry door to the center is only accessible via a keycode unique to each parent/employee, for extra safety and security!
- We accept CCS & NACCRRA! We also have a variety of payment methods for your convenience, including pay-at-check-in, online manual payment, and automatic payments! No cash accepted. Please ask our front desk for more information.
- Appropriately sized smaller restrooms for all classrooms, which makes a big difference during the potty training phase!
- Fun activities such as skateboarding for our afterschoolers, riding tricycles for the littler ones, water day every Friday in the summertime, Kona Ice days, field trips, tons of unique board games for all ages, Perler bead creations, and much more!
- Little Scholars Academy has its very own garden! In an effort to encourage our children to be excited and familiar with fresh fruits and vegetables, we decided to plant a garden in order to allow the kids to participate in growing their very own food from scratch. Children help with things like watering, filling the gardens with soil, planting, and caring for the plants when needed. Currently we have a giant Rosemary bush, and a giant Sage plant as well! More planting is soon to come, and changes with each season.
That’s just some of what we have to offer at Little Scholars Academy, but we’d love for you to come by and see it for yourself! Visit us during our business hours at 11150 Montwood Dr., or feel free to call us anytime if you have any questions at (915) 633-1040. Hope to hear from you soon!
