“Stay At Home, Work Safe” Order Issued for El Paso, Texas
Hello parents and families of Little Scholars. We have a few updates we would like to share in light of the recent “Stay At Home, Work Safe” order issued by the Mayor today. We will continue to remain open, as we are an essential business to our families during this time. We would like to thank our parents for their patience and understanding as we all navigate the unknown during this time.
We are going to continue taking every precaution necessary to keep our children, parents, and employees safe. Our current business hours for now have changed to 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., until further notice. We are still asking that all children be dropped off at the center no later than 10 a.m. (this will help us to maintain appropriate staff:child ratios). Groups of children will continue to be limited to 10 max and groups will remain separated from other groups, in accordance with the new order. In addition, we are continuing to ask that only parents who are classified as essential workers in the order bring their children in at this time, as all other workers should be staying home.
All children that are currently enrolled with us have their spot guaranteed until this is all over. We have not been charging any holding fees for weeks absent since all of this has been going on. In addition, parents with CCS will not lose their benefits during this crisis because of excessive absences.
Our employees are dedicated to providing essential childcare to the families in our community who are in need. We are extremely grateful to all of them for their hard work and dedication, especially under such circumstances. We are going to continue to stay open as long as fiscally possible and hope that we can all weather this storm together. Thank you.
